The Masked Singer is back (Fox, Wednesdays at 8) for its fifth season, and will have the same bad guesses and super-clever costumes as always. (Here's a preview of one terrific performance.)

Nick Cannon's illness means that Niecy Nash is hosting instead, at least at first. During a Television Critics Association virtual press conference, the show's producers would not say exactly when Nick will return, but they did say this, so it seems like he's out for at least half the season.
