Hello, and happy May!

The love bugs are back in Central Florida, which for me is the symbolic start of our hot and humid summer.

Thankfully it's still springtime in reality TV, with some new shows sprouting up. (Apologies for that terrible metaphor!)

📺 Reality shows premiering this week include:

• New seasons of Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi, The Great American Baking Show, and The Great British Baking Show: Juniors

• The spin-offs Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta “Run it Back” and Jewish Matchmaking

• Dating shows Couples Retreat and Love Village

Documentaries on TV this week focus on subjects including:

• people with ALS and their families

• The Menendez brothers and Menudo, in the same documentary (!)

• W. Kamau Bell's exploration of "mixed kids and families in the San Francisco Bay Area ... inspired by Kamau and his wife Melissa’s desire to better understand what life is like for their mixed daughters."
