A wonderful week of reality TV (Survivor! Amazing Race!) and a weird week for me

Dear newsletter friends,
It's been a week: It began with going to to the mountains with my family to scatter my dad's ashes, and now I have COVID.
Yep, after somehow avoiding it for 3.5 years, it finally got me. The T line on the test turned red before the control line even had a chance to light up itself.
I'm grateful for a relatively mild case—it's just like a weird cold, with symptoms shifting every few hours, it seems like—and also very grateful for the vaccines that prepared my body.
My current symptom is that I'm completely wiped out, so my plans to cover The Golden Bachelor, the new Amazing Race, The Challenge USA, and September news highlights will have to wait.
Perhaps I'll get to some this weekend; perhaps not!
For now, here's an abbreviated newsletter of what I did cover this week:
A recap
A review
An interview
ICYMI
🤩 I recommend
This show, if you liked Netflix's Outlast, now streaming on Roku Channel
The early seasons of Bake-Off, all streaming free
Getting vaccinated and boosted!
Hopefully I'll be more back to normal next week, and I'll check back in, as always, on Friday.
Have a great weekend, and be well.
best,
Andy
