Real World Homecoming is perfect 🤩🥺😭

I hit another pandemic wall last week: exhaustion, despair, the usual. It’s lifting, and I’m glad the vaccine rollout is accelerating, but imagine the mental toll of this past year will be with us for some time as we ease back into normal life—whatever that means!
I worked on two big projects this week:
My review of The Real World Homecoming, which was perfect. I completely lost it when this appeared on screen. 😭😭😭
Real World is on Paramount+, which is just a new name for CBS All Access. Emphasis on new name: basically nothing else has changed.
I also:
continued my Survivor season 2 rewatch, with Survivor’s first medevac. There are two episodes in one in this week’s recap.
News from the week
Phil Keoghan finally explained why Mikey Eyebrows left Tough As Nails. (Details and discussion are in a new section at the end of my story.) It’s not a lot, but I think this is what Phil should have said on TV.
Making the Cut is returning but making major changes. Heidi and Tim are back but that’s about it.
Before The Real World premiered, we learned Eric Nies wouldn’t actually be back in the loft. And now we know why: COVID-19.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard will host a new game show. It’s now casting families.
A show about pet pimple popping is among the specials and documentaries that premiered this week
