Holey Moley, what a week
Dear newsletter friends,
It has been a long week, even for a week that—for some of us—has been one with four work days, plus the west coast is on fire; there are six tropical systems swirling around; and today’s the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, so the Internet is full of emotional remembrances and stories, and people posting deranged and evidence-free conspiracy theories.
So I’m just going to share a few lists of what I wrote this week, and then see you back here next Friday.

What I watched this week:
The finale of Holey Moley. Loved the season, disliked the final hole (too random).
American Ninja Warrior, which returned with some very noticeable changes
Get Organized with The Home Edit on Netflix, which I compared to a former reality star’s Instagram underwear photos
16 and Recovering. Amazing TV.
What I read this week:
Trust me on this one. Just a stunning story that encapsulates where we are today.
What’s coming up:
Halloween Wars, Dancing with the Stars, and and other fall competitions start next week
I’m working on a piece about Big Brother, which got ugly, again
I’ll also soon publish an update on the next season of Survivor
