Great reality TV reads: Queer Eye edition

JVN’s new memoir, Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love, tells his full story for the first time—including a detail he was hesitant to share: that he’s H.I.V. positive. “When ‘Queer Eye’ came out, it was really difficult because I was like, ‘Do I want to talk about my status?. And then I was like, ‘The Trump administration has done everything they can do to have the stigmatization of the L.G.B.T. community thrive around me,’” he told the New York Times. “I do feel the need to talk about this.” (New York Times)
JVN didn’t show up at the Emmys. Tan France told fans: “don’t panic, JVN couldn’t make it, because he was moving house today.” (Instagram)
