Dear newsletter friends,
Greetings from Florida, where exactly six weeks ago Wednesday and Thursday, we had another hurricane barrel through, with winds howling all night.
The fact that news coverage prevented me from watching Survivor and The Amazing Race live was, of course, the last-important thing during a natural disaster. But for that to happen twice in two months is wild.
It's amazing we're in hurricane season since holiday reality TV is already here.
The arrival of that much more enjoyable season prompted me to write about one of my favorite parts:
