Readers Up: Housekeeping
Housekeeping. Stall-mucking? Anyway, a few items of business. First, thank you for being here! The number of people interested in reading along about Thoroughbred literature grows a little each week. Please feel free to respond here or on Twitter if you have thoughts about a book or a reading suggestion. Although I read quickly, I also read a lot (and sometimes for my day jobs), and so I'm planning to scale back to one book and newsletter per month, rather than the previous bimonthly installments. This will likely take effect in April with issue #10.
Ah, the vagaries of trying new things! Even a platform as stripped down and straightforward as TinyLetter has its quirks, one of which is a current inability to display a full archive to subscribers only. An all-public archive is, to my view, at odds with the concept of a newsletter itself and doesn't play with my desire to occasionally highlight authors and fellow readers more publicly while remaining curated and audience-only the majority of the time. For new subscribers: your first email from me will be the most recent edition; if you'd like to receive all previous newsletters (at a reasonably staggered rate), please drop a line in response here.
Muddling through the return of the sun,
Diana
