There was a time not too long ago when someone wrote a compelling thing on their blog, that there was a viral flurry of responses. Well-written, thoughtful, and lengthy responses.

Social media has consumed most of this activity. Liking, boosting, and retweeting have replaced a good portion of what used to be an exciting debate.

Paul Graham’s post on his loosely defined Founder Mode felt like one of those moments. Whether you agree or disagree with the idea, you can’t disagree that it’s an exciting conversation.
