Question Mark Town Roundup for the week of 5/15-5/21

Town Announcements

The Mother’s Day Parade and Pageant was less-than-inspiring.

Ladies.

First of all, almost none of you came. I can not imagine what would be more important to you than our wonderful Mother’s Day Parade and Pageant, but clearly your priorities are wrong.

Second of all, those of you that did come? Well, I specifically said “Ladies, look your best” and clearly none of you listened. I know you were upset that there was no winner for the Pageant portion of the event, but really: Look inward and ask yourself if there should have been. I mean, honestly.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to the mayor of a town where people took themselves and how they dressed a little more seriously. It’s like being mayor of a hole in the ground instead of a center of progress and industry. If I’m being really honest, I wish a few of those dated outfits would have vanished completely.

Try harder, ladies. Try harder.

Please come to my presentation on all the things that have disappeared so far.

There are a lot of things that have gone missing in this town. It's not just Mr. Business—even though that police officer found his collar, I still think he's out there—it's a lot of other things too. Shoes. Signs. Lots of other pets. Something is going on here!

I don't think people are paying enough attention, so I've put together a presentation and it's this Friday at the Question Mark Public Library. I don't think any of you are going to come, but Ms. Twombley at the library encouraged me to post this announcement, so that's what I'm doing.

Please come, seriously.

Strange things are happening in this town but no one seems worried

Slide 1

I did a presentation at the library on Friday but no one came. I get it, we're all busy, but this is really important!

I'm really worried something bad is happening here in town! I saw something in the woods last night that really scared me bad. We need to start paying attention before something worse happens.

If you’re interested in what’s actually going on around here, this is the slideshow I put together for the library. You can watch it on the town website or over on Google Slides. I even made a Reel on Instagram if you want to share that (Nanako played cello for that one)! Please send this to someone so everyone knows what’s happening here in Question Mark, Ohio.

I think it's something really bad.

Children of Question Mark! We're so excited to announce a coloring contest as part of our Summer Fun! program here at the Question Mark Public Library.

Between now and July 1st, we invite you to download and color a portrait of Mayor Zisk! Most beautiful wins! We'll be hanging up some of our favorites as they come in.

We hope to see you at the library soon and hope you have a great last few weeks of school!

Greta Twombley, Head Librarian

Did You Know?

Archaeological evidence suggests the Adena and Hopewell people occupied this area as early as 1000 BC. Their technologically-advanced earthworks can be found throughout the region, including one burial mound located deep in the woods known as 'the infinite circle.'
