Question Mark Town Roundup for the week of 5/29-6/4

Town Announcements

Sinkhole Repairs Have Begun!

a photograph of very dusty road construction. an excavator is barely visible in the cloud of dust.

After a thorough investigation and two years of discussion from the Town Council, we are excited to announce that the filling of the sinkhole and repaving of Willey Way, between the Willey Envelope Factory and Foreverland Pet Refrigeration (currently closed) has begun! Willey Way (21st Street) will be blocked between Adeline and Center Avenues until further notice. Please plan accordingly.

The filling of the sinkhole is the cornerstone of our five-year capital improvement plan and we believe that a traversable Willey Way will lead to a revitalization of our industrial corridor and beyond.

It’s fitting to be repaving the road that connects our oldest business with our newest, and we hope that the removal of the sinkhole will bring further hi-tech investment into Question Mark. As Mayor Zisk says, “The future is a Question Mark.”

a missing flyer for the Mr. Freeze-E Ice Cream cone. It reads MISSING. HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CONE? Last Seen 6/2/2023 at 2200 hours in the 700 block of Tower Ave. Height 6'10 Weight 527 lbs

Attention People of Question Mark:

The statue of the giant ice cream that has sat in front of Mr. Freeze-E Ice Cream for forty-one years was reported missing this morning. It was last seen at closing on June 2, as reported by Mr. Freeze-E employee, Marlene Winters.

At opening, it was reported as missing by Officer Ronny Dublowski.

This landmark of our town is not small, is not light, and should not be easy to transport. Eyewitnesses to this vandalism are encouraged to come forward.

We want the citizens of Question Mark to understand that the Question Mark Police Department is taking this matter very seriously. Every member of our law enforcement team is on this case. We have produced flyers, so please distribute these widely.

If you have any information DO NOT HESITATE to contact the Question Mark Police Department at (740) 647-4807 extension 1.

Community Notes

Many people have asked for the results of this Sunday's Amateur Kite-Fighting Club Tournament, and I am happy to announce that the winner of this year's no-holds barred battle to the end was Fred Williamson. Vivi Das took second place. Gladys Parker took third.

Apologies for the minor scrapes and cuts that participants and members of the audience may have received during the final showdown! While there were a few altercations, we're happy to say that the Question Mark Police Officer that was present only issued warnings. No arrests this year! Fight on!
