Town Announcements

Spend Friday Night at the Cinema... In Your Home!

a photograph of a the interior of a video store. The carpet is dark green, the ceiling is green, the shelves are green. The walls are green. There really is a great deal of green.

Welcome Lovers of the Cinema to our Summer Blockbuster Deals at Question Mark Video, Question Mark's only source for movies, games, and family fun for over thirty-five years!

It is I, William Higgland Jr., writing you today to tell you that this summer you can come by and rent any two movies or games for the price of one. Action! Sci-Fi! Horror! Rom-Com! Family! Games! All two-for-one rentals! Please note: our regular adult film special of three-for-one rentals does not apply to our summer special. You can not walk out with six pornographic movies for the price of two, Burt Peacock.

You may be saying to yourself, "William Higgland Jr., certainly two-for-one rentals is enough," but you would be wrong! Download our Summer Blockbuster Deals flyer and get a clippable coupon for a free popcorn to take home! Just present your coupon to Sherman, Dash, or Samantha—our FRIENDLY and HELPFUL rental associates—and they will give you a box to take home some popcorn. Of course, popcorn is always free to munch in-store and every Friday is bacon/wings night, courtesy of Professor Chik N Crunch, including tonight! So please come by!

Also, I know some of you love a good puzzle, so we've included a word search on our flyer! Puzzle away, puzzlers!

Remember what Hitchcock said: Cinema is the perfect tool to confront lingering, unsolvable questions... Or wait, actually, that was me, William Higgland Jr.

See you at the store soon!

80s Hard Rock Record Enthusiast Meet-up Cancelled Indefinitely, Also Stop With The Water Balloons

Hello,

Due to personal reasons that I would not like to share with the whole town, the 80’s Hard Rock Record Enthusiast Meet-up held every-other Saturday in the Town Hall parking lot is cancelled indefinitely. I had a long think about it this morning and there's just a lot going on right now, what with Beth leaving and I think Lindsay hates me and Gary is a handful if we're being honest, at least sometimes. I mean he's a good kid, they're both good kids. It's just a lot, I think. It's a lot.

Also, please stop throwing water balloons at police vehicles. It’s getting tiring, people. I know that many of you are upset about your missing pets and your missing other things and we are doing our best. It doesn't help policework to be sitting in your car and to be hit with a water balloon and then having to do the rest of your shift with your pants wet in front. Remember we are people too and we all have a lot going on. A lot.

Also, and this is more specifically to Glenn Warner in vital records: cancelling the 80’s Hard Rock Record Enthusiast Meet-up does not in any way affect my position in the KISS Army, for which you of all people know I am a dues-paying member in good standing since 1979. Please don't make me come by the office, you know it creeps me out.

Also, Beth if you see this I am sorry?

Ron (Ronny)

Community Notes

In observance of Memorial Day and in honor of all the brave men and women who bravely fought and gave up their lives to keep our town and country free, please consider placing a wreath or other object of importance at the newly-refurbished Eastwood HOA Pool and War Memorial at the center of Eastwood Circle. Please note that while the War Memorial is open to the public on this Memorial Day, the pool is only for HOA members, of which I can't imagine many of you are.

If you are visiting the memorial on this most solemn day, keep in mind that Eastwood Circle is where some of Question Mark's finest families live and you should LOOK YOUR BEST. No dirty uniforms, which you should be keeping pressed and shined regularly anyway. No shorts. No driving on the Avenues, they are closed to non-HOA traffic. It is a PRIVALEGE to visit such a beautiful space, and you should consider yourself LUCKY that they have opened it to people such as you, today. Not tomorrow.

And please, while you are reflecting on sacrifice on this Memorial Day in such a beautiful setting as the Eastwood HOA Pool and War Memorial, do take the time to consider how you, as an individual, can make Question Mark a more interesting, culturally-significant, or economically-prosperous place. It's really the least you can do.

Mayor Elizabeth Zisk.

PS. Here is a map, as I am sure most of you have never had the fortune to visit Eastwood Circle.
