Bookman’s Music Invites you to share the Song in your Heart

Hi everyone,
At Bookman’s Music, we believe everyone has a great song somewhere inside them just waiting to come out. That’s why we’re offering buy one/get one free lessons through February 17th. Whether you’re a beginner or a musical superstar in-the-making, we want to give you all the tools you need to share your musical vision with the world!
And since we know a song from the heart makes the perfect Valentine's gift, we’re offering 10 guitar picks for one dollar all month long.
I know that things have been hard in town lately, and we're very lucky to have escaped much damage from the fire and floods. But maybe now is the time to find your song. We'd love to help.
Please stop by our shop, or inquire on our website because these deals won't last forever and time is always "ticking away."
I look forward to seeing you soon,
Todd Bookman

Books about the fascinating connection between the historical and the personal
It has been heartening seeing so many of you back in town and at the library after the unfortunate events of this December. Welcome back.
If you have not been by lately, please consider visiting the Question Mark Public Library for my latest Librarian's Bookshelf recommendations. I invite you to explore some amazing books about how history informs and interrupts our lives including Kindred by Octavia Butler and HHhH by Laurent Binet.
It is not hard to notice the momentous sense of history happening all around us, in our town, state, and in our country over these last several months. In order to better understand the present and future, we hope you will take some time to explore the past as well.
We hope to see you all at the library soon.

Community Notes
2-12-24
After Saturday’s very challenging and divisive Town Council meeting, I am writing to confirm that the Council has concluded its fact-finding investigation into the events leading up to the catastrophe of Dec. 17 and has now closed public comments regarding the incident.
At stake is the very future of this community and we want the town to know that the Town Council is taking this matter incredibly seriously. We now find ourselves in a moment of “exigent circumstances” as outlined by the town charter. We will present our findings to the Mayor and the entire town this coming Saturday, February 17th at 1pm, and take the appropriate actions at that time.
Tom Weathers, Town Council

Did You Know?
Our mayor Elizabeth Zisk is the longest-serving public official in Question Mark History! She was elected in 1998 after a tragic accident took her husband, but don’t worry, this story had a happy ending for all of us in Question Mark! Thanks Mayor Zisk!
