Who Did The Work?
Hey there - we just published a new essay.
Its goal is to help answer the title of this email: who really did the work?
The professional world is a bit like group projects at school, in that a few people drive a lot of value while everyone else sits around and doesn’t do anything useful. Of course, everyone involved takes credit.
And while it’s very useful to figure out who did the work (whether you’re hiring, looking for a co-founder, or joining a company), it’s also surprisingly hard.
We hope this essay makes things a bit easier.
Cheers,
- Carter and Jordan
P.S. If you ever like an essay we write, or Quarter Mile in general, you can make our day by sharing it with people. We’re not going to kick you off the email list or anything if you don’t. But it’s always nice, and in fact most of you are probably reading this because somebody shared one of our essays.
