Hi there - we just published a new essay.

People talk a lot about being “authentic.” Position it as some kind of virtue. Take pride in it, even. But I wonder… What is ‘authenticity,’ really? Is it helpful? Or is it more of a trap?

And is trying to be authentic, perhaps ironically, one of the least authentic things you can do?
