PyBeach 2025 Sponsors (and an update on sprints)
Hello everyone!
We're just one month away from PyBeach, and we have a few announcement to share with all you fine folks.
Announcing several new sponsors
Platinum Sponsor: Meta
Meta has provided a platinum sponsorship to our event. We're very grateful for Meta's support for our event, the Python community, and to the open-source technology ecosystem more broadly.
Silver sponsor: Brace Yourself Games
Brace Yourself Games is an independent game studio based in Vancouver, Canada, best known for Crypt of the NecroDancer, Rift of the NecroDancer, and Phantom Brigade. Thanks for your support!
Bronze sponsor: Black Python Devs
Black Python Devs’ mission is to build the world’s largest community of Black Python developers, fostering mentorship, career growth, and greater representation across the global Python ecosystem. Very big thanks for their support to this event, and for the important work they do in the Python community.
Individual Sponsor: Amethyst Reese
Thank you so much for your support Amethyst! Her personal website can be found here: https://amethyst.cat
Update on Sprints
Based on ticket responses, we have heard that some of you might be interested in attending a day of sprints after the conference. Unfortunately, we're lacking in projects for those attendees to sprint on! If you are an open-source maintainer who would be interested in attending a day of sprints on Sunday, September 28th (in a nearby venue in Santa Monica), please contact us at info@pybeach.org by Saturday, August 30th, with your project and an outline of the work you have available for first-time contributors. If we don't have enough projects for attendees to sprint on, we will not go forward with sprints this year.
Volunteer Opportunities
As always, we're still looking for people who can help out with the event. In particular, it looks like it is very likely we will be able to do video recordings this year, so will need help adding transcriptions/captions of the speakers' talks to these videos after the event. If you are interested in helping out with this (or anything else with the conference), please fill out the volunteer interest form.
Cheers,
The PyBeach Organizers
