PyBeach 2025 Recap
We've had a few days to decompress and recuperate, and we just have a few remaining bits of business to mention.
Video Recordings are Up!
Big thanks for Elaine for getting the videos edited so quickly, and for Noah for handling the tech booth during the conference to make sure our audio was actually good! Also big thanks for the volunteers who helped with transcription (and Trey for lending us your Whisper key for automated transcriptions). The videos are available on this YouTube playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwdA5WU2fAAvCIOjgnYDA7NrGJ8iFh97t
T-Shirt Sale Ends October 6th
Our t-shirts have officially passed their minimum print threshold, so they will be going out. If you want to get in on your chance to own a limited edition PyBeach 2025 t-shirt, head over to https://www.customink.com/fundraising/pybeach-2025-t-shirt.
Post-attendee Survey
We have already sent out this survey to attendees. However, for those of you who did not attend but might be interested in doing so in a future year, we'd love to hear your feedback about what might entice you to come out! Survey link: https://forms.gle/eVE4TFxPcgrykV7z5
And that's a wrap
Its been an interesting journey putting this event together. It was a lot of work, but everyone seems to have had a good time! By way of closing, I just want to give another big thanks to all of our sponsors for their financial support:
- Platinum: Meta
- Gold: The Python Software Foundation
- Silver: Brace Yourself Games
- Bronze: Black Python Devs
- Individual: Amethyst Reese and Sam Kimbrel
- Also thanks to Corner Bakery for a partial donation of coffee and hot chocolate, and Chloe Ezra for partial donation of her skills at logo design.
Also check out our Volunteer Credits for everyone who put so much time and effort into making this event happen.
We're not fully sure we have it in us to run this conference again next year, but if we do, you'll be sure to hear about it first on this newsletter!
Until next time,
- The PyBeach Organizers
