Asking for Forgiveness Not Permission

Hi everyone,

It’s been a minute, but I did promise that this newsletter would be semi-occasional because I know myself. A weekly newsletter writer I will never be. However, there’s been a bunch of exciting stuff happening, so I thought I’d update you and give you all an early sneak peek of something that’s set to go live tomorrow morning! And also a couple of, “Hey, buy my books, please” links so I can keep writing more of them (and hopefully bring more to your screens!)

First, a little news round up!

FINDING HER EDGE has wrapped production and while we don’t have a premiere date yet, I did get a chance to go up to Toronto one more time and celebrate with the amazing filmmakers, cast and crew! Please check out the ridiculousness that was an ICE SCULPTURE at the party.

And the Russo sisters letting their hair down off the ice for the night!

And then case you missed it, I got to announce that my debut and sophomore novels were acquired by Alice Jerman at Requited, the new “New Adult” imprint from Little Brown. I am so beyond excited that after all these years those books will find new readers. They are being aged up (with a bit of spice, which is how they were originally conceived!) and we got to announce it in People.com, which was one of the cooler moments of my career!

Here’s the cover and the article!

And here’s a close up of the cover which was illustrated by the incredible Sandra Chiu and designed by Sasha Illingworth.

You can pre-order it from all major retailers, but just as heads up, the Deluxe Limited Edition paperback will have absolutely gorgeous sprayed and stenciled edges that I cannot show you yet, but are so, so adorable.

And okay, now what you all came here for and another author bucket list item (and where I’m asking forgiveness, not permission because this isn’t going live on socials until tomorrow morning!) I think I punked everyone a little when I teased this on socials last week. It’s not the show and it’s not the trailer, but FINDING HER EDGE has got a beautiful repackaging for its paperback release in December with art from the absolutely incomparable Po of Polarts with its Netflix roundel front and center. It’s so wintery and gorgeous and romantic (Is that Freddie? Is that Brayden? You decide!) I just know I can’t stop staring at it. The paperback will also have a bonus chapter from Freddie’s point of view, so I’m just saying, you probably want to grab your copy while you can. Here are some pre-order links!

I think that’s all the exciting news I can share with you for right now. Yes, there are still more secrets that I’m holding on to, but I’ll share as soon as I can!

My best and be well,

Jen

Current Read: Street of the Five Moons by Elizabeth Peters, one of my favorite book series about an art historian who finds herself in the middle of a handsome art thief’s latest scam at a gorgeous Italian villa.

Current Watch: Wimbledon, obviously (the tournament not the movie, though the movie is incredibly underrated!) and The Gilded Age (is anyone else obsessed with Larry and Marion and just know that they’re not going to get together until the very end?)

Current Listen: This playlist, which may give you a not so subtle hint about what I’m working on right now.
