Gentlemen of Protection of the Virgin Mary,
Tomorrow. 3 PM. Parish Hall Kitchen. Be there.
Why, you ask, interrupting your regularly scheduled Saturday? Because Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11th, and we, the esteemed gentlemen of PTVM, are on a mission: to ensure the wonderful mothers of our parish are celebrated!
This year, we're acknowledging that many of you are likely being whisked away for fancy brunches or other delightful Mother's Day activities on Sunday itself. Smart. Very smart. However, we still want to do something special at church to honor these incredible women.
So, we're hatching a plan for a delicious, yet simpler, meal to be served after Liturgy. And that, my friends, is where YOU come in. We need at least a handful of guys to help.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It (And You Should):
Report to the Parish Hall Kitchen: Saturday, May 10th, at 3:00 PM sharp.
Task: Assist with meal preparation. Think less "Iron Chef" and more "Mission: Possible - Chopping Division." We'll be dicing, slicing, stirring, and generally making culinary magic happen.
Critical Intel: This is a MEN ONLY operation. That's right, ladies, you get the day off from this particular kitchen duty. We've got this... mostly. (Prayers are always welcome, though.)
Consider this your official summons. Forget the Bat-Signal; this is the Spatula-Signal! Let's face it, flowers are nice, but a meal prepared by their favorite (or at least, available) men? That's legendary.
We need your brawn, your questionable cooking skills (we'll have guidance, fear not!), and your good humor. Many hands make light work, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to work together and show our appreciation.
Let's make this Mother's Day one where the moms can actually relax and enjoy a meal they didn't have to lift a finger for (at least at church!).
