Increasingly useful procurement outcomes data
The AusTender team at Department of Finance continues to invest in their efforts to collect and report accurate and detailed procurement outcomes data.
Some recent additions to the data published by Finance include
Number of suppliers invited
Number of extensions allowed
Maximum contract end date
The first two fields especially, as the agencies start to report these, will prove very interesting from an analytical perspective.
Of course, they are already live on AwardedTenders.AU
Where are State Governments at on reporting procurement outcomes data?
I’ve been working to add some of the state’s procurement outcomes data to AwardedTenders, and as part of that effort have been comparing the data reported in each state and territory, and how it compares to Federal level.
At the State Government level, there is a varying degree of procurement outcomes data reported (to be fair to Queensland, our outreach to discuss these findings was welcomed and they are looking at improving their reporting).
As I add State Government data I’ll be sure to post an update here too.
