Princeton Comic Makers Weekly Roundup #60

Summary (7/16/2025)

🖋️IN SHORT: In August — 2 days off, one of which will be a plein air session; also a lock-in day for anthology contributors to work on their submissions. 3 conventions coming up: Lambertville, Wellsboro, and ANYC. PCM members will be tabling at most of them. 3 open calls to submit to, 2 of which close on July 20.

🌞August Schedule

We will not have a room rented in the Arts Council on August 6 or August 20. On one of those days, we will do a plein air meeting, weather permitting. Besides the Princeton University campus, we are also considering the Westminster Conservatory and the Princeton Shopping Center (where McCaffrey’s is). We are of course open to location suggestions!

🦸Wellsboro Comic Con

Amy Chu will be tabling at the Wellsboro Comic Con. This is also an event that attracts lots of industry professionals, so if you are willing to drive ~5 hours, we recommend checking it out. Chris and Masha might (!) be tabling with Amy! This free event is on Saturday, August 9, from 10:00-6:00. It is town-wide, but formal comic con activities will be at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts, the Warehouse Theatre, and the surrounding yard. Check here for parking info.

🔥Anthology Lock-In Day

We are also planning a dedicated day to work on your anthology submissions on Saturday, August 2.

🍎Anime NYC

Anime NYC is coming up again at the Javits Center, August 21-24. Check their website for details on hours and prices.
