Princeton Comic Makers Weekly Roundup #53

Summary (5/7/2025)

🖋️IN SHORT: We have rented the room until Aug 27. We are open to suggestions for local guest speakers. Applications for Ignatz Awards, Jerry’s Artarama, Savor the Arts, and Princeton Zine Fest are still open. 2nd anthology check-in this Wed, May 14.

📅Summer Schedule

We will have the same Communiversity room at the same time until August 27. The only days we do not have that space are August 6 and August 20. We will do our plein air meeting on one of those off days, depending on weather. Thank you to everyone for contributing to rent! All you wonderful people help make this possible!

🎤Taking event/speaker suggestions

If anyone has ideas for locals whom you want to speak, lead workshops, etc., please let us know. We can reach out to them on your behalf and organize a PCM-exclusive event. Alternatively, we can talk to the Princeton Arts Council to have them organize something larger.

🏆Ignatz Awards submissions have opened

The 2025 Ignatz Awards are accepting submissions until May 31! Please click the hyperlink to see the rules and categories. In summary, your work must be published between June 1-May 31 2025; you can submit works to any of the appropriate categories; and you can submit the same work for multiple categories. Each submission requires a form, which can be found at this link.

🎸JetLAG Festival (Downsville, NY)

It’s an outdoor music festival/camping excursion in Fri-Sun, June 20-22 that also provides the opportunity to do outdoor installations. Masha’s application has been approved, and she will be setting up a goblin market-themed space to sell her wares. If you would like to participate in any form, let her know!
