🌇Plein Aire meeting this Wednesday
This Wednesday, April 16, we are meeting outdoors! Find us in Hinds Plaza outside the Princeton Public Library, and remember to dress warm.
🏆Ignatz Awards submissions have opened
The 2025 Ignatz Awards are now accepting submissions until May 31! Please click the hyperlink to see the rules and categories. In summary, your work must be published between June 1-May 31 2025; you can submit works to any of the appropriate categories; and you can submit the same work for multiple categories. Each submission requires a form, which can be found at this link.
🎸JetLAG Festival (Downsville, NY)
It’s an outdoor music festival/camping excursion in Fri-Sun, June 20-22 that also provides the opportunity to do outdoor installations. Masha’s application has been approved, and she will be setting up a goblin market-themed space to sell her wares. If you would like to participate in any form, let her know!
💻Mike’s design-focused demo
Mike does design work professionally and has kindly offered to demo professional art programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, etc. To make this demo more helpful, please let Mike or an admin know what you want to hear! We haven’t yet decided a date, but once we do, we will announce it so anyone who wants to attend can plan for it.

Jerry’s Artarama Artist’s Alley
Deadline: Sat, May 31 What: Flea market-style artist fair. To apply: Submit the signed release form plus payment (card). $25 for for 10'x10' space; $15 for 6' sidewalk space. BRING YOUR OWN GEAR (tent, table, weights, etc.). We will get a nice scan of the release form soon. You can also pick up your own at the store. First check-in is currently in progress. This involves coming up with your idea and sketching out thumbnails. The next check-in is in a month, May 14, around which time you should be working on to-scale drawings.
Participants who have filled out the check-in form should have received an email by now, which is how we will provide updates specifically about the anthology from now on. Let us know if you have signed up but not yet received this email.

At some point, we will be recording snippets of our meetings for the Art Council’s Instagram. We will not film you if you do not want to be filmed. Additionally, if anyone is interested in doing the filming, feel free to speak up!
