Princeton Comic Makers Weekly Roundup #12
Summary of the Last Meeting (4/17/2024)
Welcome to all the new faces! This email's coming out a bit late, so thank you all for your patience. First of all, for the new folks and anyone who was not receiving emails until recently, please click here to access the backlog of all our email blasts.
There was also quite a bit of discussion surrounding local figure drawing sessions. Princeton Arts Council does offer its own (link here) on Monday nights from 6:00-9:00. The non-member fee per class is $15. There is also the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, NJ, if that is closer to anybody. Their figure drawing sessions are Fridays from 6:30-8:30. They do ask for pre-registration (link here), and the price is $20 for non-members. Please note that both of them require you bring your own supplies.
Reminders
If you haven't yet, please fill our short survey (link here!) about your thoughts on our current arrangement with the Princeton Arts Council. The last day of our current agreement is April 24 (this Wednesday!), and Chris would like to gather your opinions to prepare for negotiating a new agreement. Your responses are highly appreciated!
As always, here is the Discord invite link. At first, you'll only see the "about-rules" channel; just enter the command written at the bottom of the guidelines to access to the rest of the server. And if the link doesn't work, let us know and we'll send you another.
Bonus!
For folks interested in fantasy illustrations, I recommend checking out the “Fairy Books” by Andrew Lang. They have lovely and elegant black and white drawings! You can actually read them for free here!
