July 2022

☀️Happy July! 🇺🇸
What does this month mean to you all? Our country’s independence and July 4th celebrations topped with awesome fireworks and a barbecue? Or does the heat sizzle your brain and make you despondent? Well, for me, it is all of the above and then some.
I was born July 1st. So, for the longest time, when my children were tots, they thought the fireworks displays were always for Mom’s birthday! I always thought that was pretty neat. However, this year, I turned a “special” age …60.
Some good things come with maturing, I’ll say, instead of growing older. The main one is knowing who I am. I feel calmer, and more relaxed.
Finally, right. . .? it has only taken me 6 decades to come to this point in my life.

I’ve grown more confident, and open-minded, as well as outspoken. That is until I turn on the television news. But I have changed my ways. I barely watch the boob tube anymore. And when I do, it’s to watch old television series and movies. What do y’all watch when you click on the remote? Can you suggest any good movies or shows to me? I love recommendations from people, other than movie critics, because I usually end up enjoying those shows suggested by friends.
Another key issue I am bent on implementing as I mature or age or oxidize 😉 whatever you want to call it, is exercising. I'm really trying to get good cardio inserted in my daily routine, but I've noticed while I'm huffing and puffing more, I'm getting more dehydrated. I found a great homemade recipe to rehydrate with:

Grab a glass and fill with water.
Splash in desired amount of lemon juice.
Add a pinch of sea salt.
Squirt in a spot of honey (preferably local).
Mix thoroughly.
Voila!
Electrolytes are replenished and you won’t take in any unnecessary additives many packaged drinks contain.
Finally, one last thought about aging. My wonderful little sister sent me a cup with the words: ~21 with39 years experience~

While she is one of the best sisters and friend in the whole wide world, I would never want to be 21 years old ever again! 30 years old, maybe, 32? EEKS, to go back to my twenties, no thank you!
What years and age were you or are you most comfy at, dear friend and reader? Talk to me. I’d love to know.
~Have a Great Month~
~Many Blessings and Blossoms~
