We REALLY NEED MODELS! We are seeking models of all shapes, sizes, and gender presentations for our fashion shows. You can apply to model in either or both of our All Things J-Fashion and Lolita Fashion shows. We need all the models we can get -seriously! So if you've ever wanted to give modeling a try, please sign up BY OCTOBER 19 on Fluffy Show.

Reminder that if you're interested in selling at the swap meet, we need you to reserve a table! Table reservations start September 6 at 12:00 PM PT on Eventbrite - please note that this is a different Eventbrite link than our main ticket sales! Table reservations cost $15. What is the story behind your store/brand logo? I knew I wanted something happy and cute to be part of my shop's logo. I chose a bunny to be the center of attention and give her a cherry on top of her melty ears since my shop revolves around sweets and animal characters.
What would your brand “elevator pitch” be? Sugarstar Cafe is full of wearable treats and colorful clothing for anyone to enjoy!
How has your brand evolved since its inception? My brand came to life from the accumulation of the many hobbies I have fallen in love with throughout my life. I've enjoyed designing ideas and bringing them into reality since I was a kid and eventually opened a little etsy shop to share them. While working on my bachelor's in graphic design, I was slowly learning that I wanted to turn my collection of hobbies into full-time work. After graduating, I created my own independent shop and narrowed my main focus to wearable fake sweets to share my fascination with cute desserts and miniature things!
What does a day in the studio look like for you? I start by getting water to drink and putting on music from Animal Crossing. If I have a plan already, I bring out whichever clays I need for the design. Sometimes, I need pieces to dry before I continue with it, so I wait by working on something else that would involve sewing or drawing.
What are your favourite materials to work with? My favorite materials are different kinds of clays! I love how each type of clay has their own special texture and how they're prepared.
What is your favourite item that you sell? My favorite item is either my spooky jello or candy heart jello! They both have transparent jellos incorporated into their designs and I absolutely love small transparent items.
What is the most popular item that you sell? I think the most popular thing I've sold in my shop is a dessert version of the peperuto poron from Ojamajo Doremi! It's one of the largest pieces I've made, both in detail and size!
Who are some of your favourite designers? One of my favorite designers is Pinkhime! Their work is super beautiful! Wearing anything of theirs always makes me feel like a pretty pink princess~
