[RVR 2021] Star Sweets Vendor Spotlight+Reminders

Hello again! Our next #RoyalVegasRetreat2021 vendor spotlight features Star Sweets! Read on to learn more about this cute brand.

First, here are a few important reminders for RVR 2021:

• We STILL need volunteers! See our volunteer page or sign up now. Volunteers get a free GA ticket to RVR 2021 in exchange for ~8 hours of work. Sign up by October 19!

• Are you interested in presenting a panel at RVR 2021? Sign up using our form by October 1 at 11:59 PM PT.

• Reminder that if you’re interested in selling at the swap meet, we need you to reserve a table! Table reservations start September 6 at 12:00 PM PT on Eventbrite - please note that this is a different Eventbrite link than our main ticket sales! Table reservations cost $15. Thank you for your support, and please direct any questions to PPC staffer Ruthie!

• Have you checked our website lately? We have added almost our full cohort of vendors and special guests (with a couple more surprises still to come!). And we’ve also added some more details about our planned programming. Check it out and get hype!

What is the story behind your store/brand logo? I really wanted something that looked simple but cute with sort of a ‘fancy’ feel to it that was also in my handwriting. It took me quite a while to settle on something that I thought would be good to represent my shop~

What would your brand “elevator pitch” be? Starsweets has cute handmade accessories to help you live your best kawaii life~

How has your brand evolved since its inception? When I originally decided to start an online shop it was mainly for my artwork and very few handmade bows & small plushies at the time. Now it’s developed into much more of an accessory shop that has art based products as well!

What does a day in the studio look like for you? Most days start with a cup of tea and packing orders, then typically I’ll spend the rest of the day on artwork. On days where I’m also handmaking other items I’ll usually throw on some TV and zone out to the task at hand~

What are your favourite materials to work with? really like working with soft baby yarn and lace~

What is your favourite item that you sell? I make earrings out of soft baby yarn and I think they’re just so cute and they’re so soft to touch!

What is the most popular item that you sell? My most popular items seem to be my enamel pins and stickers.

Who are some of your favourite designers? Angelic Pretty, BTSSB, and Angelic Forest
