[RVR 2021] Sponsor Spotlight: Lucy and Odie

Pretty Princess Club Updates

Hey folks! This week’s newsletter shines a spotlight on our sponsor Lucy and Odie, a new alternative fashion retailer! Read on to learn more about this brand.

Lucy and Odie logo featuring the brand name juxtaposed over Odie the dog in a field of pink peonies

What is the story behind your store and brand logo? Our logo is the Odie, our family dog, with peonies in the background. Peonies represent prosperity in Chinese culture.

What would your store “elevator pitch” be? We are a “slow alternative fashion” company. We carry pieces that are designed by small designers, vintage, or ourselves.

How has your store evolved since its inception? Oh, a lot! We are still in the middle of rebranding. We started with only lolita dresses, and then we evolved to alternative fashion. We have decided to go one step further to make our company a slow fashion company to be more sustainable and conscientious.

What kind of products can people expect to find in your store? We will now carry up-and-coming original design dresses, vintage pieces, original design accessories, original design lolita and dresses, and more.

Currently, we only released our Plaid Pleated skirt collection, which our community has received well.

What is your favorite Lucy and Odie original item? The plaid pleated skirts so far, but there are more to come!

Where can people find you online? We have not officially launched yet, but we are preparing for Jan 2020 launch; people can find us at lucyandodie.com; the e-store is under construction.

Correction: last week, we erroneously used the term “reseller” to describe remote vendor Flores Astorum. In general, resellers buy up items from other brands and add markup to sell them at a profit, which is not Flores Astorum’s business model. We sincerely apologize for the error and have corrected the word “reseller” to “retailer.”
