We did it. Another spin around the sun. Congrats!

And this year, that nicely coincides with a milestone for Pretend Post. Two hundred issues of the newsletter.

To celebrate, I’ve asked you all to send me your favourite improv metaphors. The image or story or concept that helps you understand improv better.

We have surfing and brick walls and kaleidoscopes and car dealership inflatables and hire wire acts and nuclei and baskets and Disney movies and mycelial networks and baked goods and trampolines and parachutes and elephants and ... actually we don’t have one of those but you’ll have to read the list to find out which is the imposter 🫠

But it’s not finished. These things never are. If reading other improvisers’ metaphors inspires you to send me your own, I’ll add it to the page as soon as I can.
