PSFC Is Almost Here
By now you've probably heard that Prairie Song Folk Club is coming this fall, and we wanted to make sure you have all the details.
PSFC is, first and foremost, a listening room. On the first Thursday each month, Alberta musicians will take the stage in a space crafted to inspire connection and appreciation for songwriting and storytelling.
We are grateful to be able to host these performances at Bison Lodge, the beautiful, non-profit, log construction event centre on 99 Street just south of Saskatchewan Drive. This building first opened in 1959, so it is decidedly a piece of Edmonton history. If you haven't been inside, it's worth the visit on its own.
One commitment we've made from day one: only Alberta artists, forever. Every headliner you see below is from here, and every evening opens with a first set from some of Edmonton's most promising local musicians.

Club Member Seats
Individual tickets will be $25 at the door. The best way into the room, and the best way to support PSFC’s success from day one, is a season membership.
Member Row Seat — $250: reserved row seating and early entry for all eight shows, a season program booklet, and first right of renewal next year.
Member Table Seat — $350: a reserved seat at a cabaret table for the season, early entry for all eight shows, a season program booklet, and first right of renewal next year.
Tickets to each show are sent out to Members ahead of the season and are fully transferable, so if a date doesn't work, you can pass your seat along.
Membership isn't about the seat itself. Club Members are getting a hand up to say that this kind of space belongs in Edmonton for the long-term. Founding season Members are the reason there'll be a second season.
We Need Hands
A room like this doesn't run itself, and we'd like to build it as a community just as much as we’d like to build it for community.
We're looking for volunteers to serve in these areas and more:

Artist hospitality
Volunteers get a comp seat to the show they work, as well as a season-specific t-shirt. Great company, great music, and a hand in making the magic happen - what could be better?
Part of Something Bigger
PSFC is our newest endeavour, but it's one piece of something much bigger. Every artist on this season's stage has developed in community, just like the one Prairie Song Alliance has worked to foster for more than a year now. In that time, PSA has been able to connect local musicians to local organizations and businesses that have created more than 200 paid performance opportunities, resulting in over $30,000 finding their way into the pockets of performers.
By becoming part of season one at Prairie Song Folk Club, you are supporting the work of an organization that is offering real opportunities for local musicians to develop the skills, relationships and experiences necessary to thrive as professional performers.
As our beloved Rhea March puts it: “it takes a village to raise a musician”. We hope you'll consider yourself part of ours.
