This is your monthly catch-up email showcasing everything that is coming up for Postpartum Matters CIC and The Women’s Health Hub in the month ahead. If you are passionate about our work, or if you want to keep up to date with events, do consider subscribing below.
Hello ☀️,
And a big warm welcome to those of you who are new here - either by finding us online or from the events we have been at over the last month.
I really want these monthly emails to showcase all the wonderful things we have going on, that you can join in with, without you having to read a full essay - so I’ll get right to it-
You can find our up-to-date timetable of free-to-access workshops and support at The Women’s Health Hub by clicking here. We have workshops to support a wide variety of lived experiences, for women and girls of all ages and stages - it’s not just for mothers. So do check it out!
We have also just found out that we have been successful in our Community Mental Health Transformation bid! And this means that we have funding to support three wonderful people to start their own group. If you have a lived experience that you feel is not represented in our current timetable, and if you’ve been dreaming of running some sort of peer support group but have not known where to start or perhaps been lacking confidence - I’d love to hear from you ❤️ please do email me at zoe@postpartummatters.co.uk
✨ The fourth installment of our online Mindful Bookbinding course will be released here at the end of the month. This is a slow, mindful process which we have been working on together. This turn of the wheel I will be showing you how to make your own book cloth, ready to start making our book covers! You can read more about the whole process here.
✨Our next community connection circle will be held on Sunday June 9th at 6pm UK time. We read a poem, we journal, we share (if you wish) and we close with a meditation. It’s super chill, you can pop in and out for bits, you can have your camera on or off - it’s totally up to you ❤️. You can see some of our past ones here.
These Substack offerings are specifically for my paid membership - it’s £6 a month or £60 for the year and you are so so welcome to join us 💕 all monies go directly towards funding the non-profit. If you’d like to join us but finances are a barrier, please do email for a comp subscription, no explanation needed.
I was also on Katie James’ new podcast - The Feeding Couch - I still can’t believe I got to speak to her in real life and was almost as star struck as when I met at the Alnwick Storyfest back in February 😆. I did, however, manage to speak and you can listen to our conversation here, if you fancy 😊.
I’d love to hear from you - how are you doing? What are you looking forward to in June? What did you love about May?
Sending love & sparkles for the month ahead,
P.S. a few of my favourite moments from May
