This is your monthly catch-up email showcasing everything that is coming up for Postpartum Matters CIC and The Women’s Health Hub in the month ahead. If you are passionate about our work, or if you want to keep up to date with events, do consider subscribing below.
Welcome,
How are you?
If you’re in the UK, I hope you had a lovely long weekend - whether you celebrate the holiday or not.
I can feel the spring energy within and around me now and I am having to really fight against (or calm?) the part of me that wants to book onto and sign up to allofthethings. Does anyone else resonate? I’m really hoping for a fun but also restful summer and so I need to try my hardest to pace myself and not get carried away with the promise of longer days.
I really want these monthly emails to showcase all the wonderful things we have going on, that you can join in with, without you having to read a full essay - so I’ll get right to it -
You can find our up-to-date timetable of free-to-access workshops and support at The Women’s Health Hub by clicking here. We have workshops to support a wide variety of lived experiences, for women and girls of all ages and stages - it’s not just for mothers. So do check it out!
We also have our Spring wreath making workshop this Sunday, there are a few spaces left if you’d like to grab a ticket. It’s 2pm till 4pm, I bake you a delicious cake filled with hand picked nettles and then I’ll be showing you how to make a door wreath from locally foraged materials ✨. All of the funds go towards supporting the running of The Women’s Health Hub too ❤️. You can find out more here.
✨ The second installment of our Mindful Bookbinding course was released last month to celebrate Ostara. This is a slow, mindful process and so this month the invitation is to continue to explore the prompts and build your journal pages, ready for you to hand-sew them into a beautiful book. You can read more about the whole process here.
✨Fortnightly check-in threads for paid subscribers where we connect with the seasons and with each other and have beautiful conversations together online. You can find all the past community love here.
These Substack offerings are specifically for my paid membership - it’s £6 a month or £60 for the year and you are so so welcome to join us 💕 all funds go directly towards funding the non-profit.
The Women’s Health Hub is definitely feeling the spring vibes 🌷❤️ I’m so happy to say we received £1000 funding from The Hospital of God this month, as well as £340 fundraised from the wonderful BRIC (building recovery in community) ladies at their International Women’s Day event last March. I am so grateful for every penny, helping us grow, helping us continue this important work.
I can’t quite put anything else into sentences here - I think I am still just coming back down to earth from my amazing trip to London with & - it still doesn’t feel real, like my body still can’t comprehend how it all happened. But in a world where friendship and relationships in general can be so difficult for us autistic folk, I am just so incredibly grateful to have wonderful people like them in my life. I’ll leave you with some highlight photos, I’d love to hear yours.
Sending well wishes,
P.S. Here are my highlights from March - I’d love to hear of yours too. What are you grateful for from the month just passed?
