ANALYSIS

Fable 5 is free through July 12 - here is the per-persona pick before the meter starts

Anthropic reversed its billing cutoff hours before the deadline. Four free days remain to decide whether the new per-token rate is worth it.

JULY 8TH, 2026 · BY JONATHAN HILDEBRANDT

Anthropic reversed the Fable 5 billing cutoff hours before its July 8 midnight Pacific deadline, after subscriber pushback on the timing. Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans now include Fable 5 through July 12 at 11:59:59 PM PT, capped at 50 percent of the weekly usage limit, with no activation step, per Android Authority.

Why it matters. You have four free days to run Fable 5 in anger and decide whether the output rate justifies staying. Our guide gives the per-persona model pick before the meter starts at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output (per Android Authority) - the steepest per-token rate Anthropic has published for a generally available model.

Patch Langflow below 1.3.0 today. Details →
