Anthropic ships self-hosted sandboxes and MCP tunnels for regulated industries

Anthropic announced self-hosted sandboxes (public beta) and MCP tunnels (research preview) at Code with Claude London on May 20. Self-hosted sandboxes let teams run tool execution on their own infrastructure while Anthropic handles agent orchestration. Four managed providers ship at launch: Cloudflare, Daytona, Modal, and Vercel. MCP tunnels go further: an outbound-only connection from your private network to Anthropic, no inbound firewall ports required. That's the architecture pattern enterprise SaaS has trusted for years, now applied to agent-to-tool communication. Why it matters. If your team was blocked from Claude agents because tool execution routed through Anthropic's cloud, that constraint is gone. Regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government) with data residency requirements now have a production path.

Anthropic acquired Stainless, the team behind every official Claude SDK.
MAY 21ST · PONDERO NEWSDESK
Stainless (founded 2022) generates SDKs, CLIs, and MCP servers across TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, and other languages. Anthropic is folding the developer-connectivity layer into its core product. If you build on Claude's official SDKs, the maintenance and release cadence just got a direct line to the model team.

Claude for Small Business shipped.
MAY 21ST · PONDERO NEWSDESK
Anthropic's new tier (May 13) bundles pre-built connectors and ready-to-run workflows into tools small businesses already use. This is Anthropic moving down-market with a product layer on top of the API. If you were waiting for Claude to be plug-and-play without a dedicated AI engineer, this is the entry point.

Google Antigravity Managed Agents: our setup guide is live.
MAY 21ST · PONDERO NEWSDESK
Google launched Antigravity 2.0 at I/O 2026. We published a practical setup guide covering the full install, AGENTS.md + SKILL.md configuration, and a direct comparison against Cursor cloud agents and Claude Code. If you want to see where Google's sandbox wins on latency and where Claude Code wins on tooling control, the comparison table is in there.
