Pondering 2020
Hello there โ and a happy new year! ๐
Weโll try to keep this short: 2020 has probably been the weirdest year in a long time for all of us โ and it was no different for the team behind Ponder.
While the long months in the home-office without daycare or school have certainly been challenging and left their marks, we are well aware that weโre all quite privileged and lucky compared to so many others in this crisis. And while the year feels like a long, unspectacular drag in hindsight, we did make quite some progress behind the scenes at Ponder!
Hereโs the digest:
- We scaled our team size to 150% and are excited to share that Caro Schnurrer joined our adventure. Weโve been working together closely in the past and are thrilled to be reunited under this new umbrella! ๐
- We fought the paperwork fight and managed to register our company, set up all the necessary tools and services, and become fully operational. ๐
- In November, Peter quit his job at Edenspiekermann. This was no easy decision in the middle of a pandemic. But weโre incredibly thrilled that he is now able to focus on pushing Ponder forward. ๐ช๐ผ
- We made good progress in clarifying our mission and offers โ weโre excited to share more on that soon! ๐ฏ
- We successfully won and executed our first projects. Besides being interesting challenges themselves, they also helped us validate our tooling and methodologies along the way. A special thank you goes out to our first clients and partners that put up with us in this setup phase! ๐๐ผ
- We were able to take the first concrete steps towards our goal to give back by donating 10% of our 2020 turnover. While this is only a start and a tiny contribution, it feels good to make this an integral part of our culture from day one. We are currently thinking a lot about setting up our endeavor as fair and sustainable as possible. ๐ฑ
And thatโs it. We hope you had the chance to get a bit of rest these days and wish you a great start into 2021. Please look after yourself and each other!
Have a great one!
