What?! Another Ponder newsletter after we just sent one … checks notes … a mere 328 days ago?

Well, it’s your lucky day, so here are some quick updates from your favourite design studio!

What kept us busy

• Earlier this year, we worked with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) to shape and launch the Data to Policy Navigator – a platform helping policymakers in low and middle-income countries to use data for better decisions in their policy-making process. It made us very proud to see this joint effort presented at the UN World Data Forum earlier this year. Learn more about this project.
  

  

• We continue our collaboration with BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN – most recently, we extended their new Corporate Design into a comprehensive and scalable design system for all digital touchpoints and added a new colour called Cadenabbia. Also, we are about to start a more extensive project leading up to the European elections next year. Our mission and values are very much in line, so this partnership makes us very happy. 💚

• Just two weeks ago, we relaunched electrive, the biggest platform for everything e-Mobility in the German-speaking market – hopefully, a tiny contribution to decreasing the number of fossil fuel vehicles out there. What you don’t (immediately) see: Months of strategic work to hone their brand structure and positioning – not a trivial task if a group of products, brands and services has grown organically over 12 (!) years. • Now, If you’re hungry after these updates, you might (not 😉) want to check out Shiso Burger. Their amazing Asian fusion burgers are so good that they are scaling into an international franchise with restaurants from Paris to Lisbon, Rhyad – and, of course, Berlin, where we celebrated their 10th anniversary and the launch of their shiny new scalable system of websites a few weeks back. Moving studios

Just in case you keep knocking at our doors at the good old (and cold) Haus of Ponder by the water: We’ve moved offices (not voluntarily, but not fully unannounced either). We’re still by the water, but now in Berlin Neukölln. While we sometimes miss our humongous industrial space, we look forward to having warmer feet this winter ☺️. Let’s have a coffee if you’re ever around!

Lovely people

Earlier this year, we had to double-check when, for a brief moment, we had doubled the number of people on our payroll 😳🤩. While this was mainly due to a short overlap, we’re super happy to have a good mix of people around at all times. 🙌 While Valentine (who was a big part of the electrive project) returned to France to finish her master’s degree, and Tzu-Hsuan does the same in Würzburg/Taiwan, Tlamelo just (re)joined the team recently and is since getting busy on the Grüne project.

While we don’t actively hire currently, we’re always happy to meet new people and discuss possibilities. So, if you want to collaborate (be it full-time, freelance or as an intern), shoot us a message, and we’ll arrange a chat! ☕️
