More details for Swing go Tapaidh, and a Beginner Workshop!
Hello! We hope your week is going well well. First of all, our apologies - this e-mail was supposed to go out on Monday, but was blocked by a technical issue with our e-mail newsletter service that has since been resolved.
We've updated the details for Swing go Tapaidh September, adding more detail for those who might not have seen or heard of St Louis Shag before. Registration closes at 10PM on Friday: get in sooner than later, as the style isn't taught as often as others!
https://pobailstomp.dancecloud.com/dance/34383"St. Louis Shag emerged in St. Louis, Missouri during the mid-1930s and was dance alongside other regional dances, including Lindy Hop. In contemporary swing dance, St. Louis Shag is often dance as a stand-alone style and is often combined with Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, and Balboa."
There's also a beginners workshop facilitated and taught by Melanie at the end of the month. You may know her for teaching and performing, but she also silently manages our Instagram in the background. Beginner classes tend to take place during the week in Dublin, so this is a fantastic opportunity to introduce someone to the dance who usually isn't available - and you could do it as a different role!
