Super Mario Wonder launch and Splatoon 3 Events!
How time flies! Again I was not able to meet the promised schedule of delivering this newsletter weekly, please forgive me.
The last couple of days I am playing Super Mario Bros Wonder and it is amazing. Smooth gameplay, great visuals and the music got stuck in my head immediately — but more on that below!
Super Mario Bros Wonder
It is finally here: Super Mario Bros. Wonder (SMBW) has been launched and what an impact it made! Nearly everywhere you are looking you will find high praises about it, earning one top score after another (e.g. 4players, Eurogamer, Gamespot, PC Games, Polygon, vg247, Metacritic). If you are not aware of the games release, a good place to start might be the launch trailer. Personally I am a couple of hours into SMBW and so far this might be the best Mario game since Super Mario World on the SNES, hands down!
Splatooween und Eggstra Work, 5.1.0 update
It’s that time of the year again. Spooky season has begun, and following the tradition the upcoming Splatooween Splatfest this weekend will be Halloween themed. This time it is all about with whom we would want to be friends with: zombie, skeleton or a ghost. In addition there is a Nintendo news channel post from a few days ago which unlocks some equipment and a banner for properly dressing in game!
There is also another Eggstra Work event scheduled as well which is happening next weekend.
In addition, version 5.1.0 has been released which includes a couple of changes regarding gameplay and balancing.
