Plug-In Solar Register

Friday roundup · 23 October 2026

Worldwide Solar cuts its three kits by £20, to £434, £454 and £464 delivered

Hi there. Three things from the week for anyone buying a plug-in kit, then the register.

This week, in three items

1. Worldwide Solar cut all three of its kits by £20 on 23 October, to £434, £454 and £464 delivered.

The 2x460 W kit is £379 plus £55 delivery, the 2x540 W bifacial kit £399 and the 2x610 W bifacial kit £409, all plus the same flat £55 delivery charge. They stood at £454, £474 and £484 delivered on 20 October. Mounting is not included, and all three read in stock today. See the buying table →

2. PatioSun, Thunder Energy, Maplin, Modular Solar and PowerXpress show the same prices on 23 October as on 20 October.

These are the sellers we re-read this morning, and their delivered totals on our table stay as published. See the buying table →

3. Compliant devices on the register went from 122 to 127 this week, and none of the new ones is on our buying table.

On 20 October the count rose to 125 as Jiangsu VDS added two entries and Voltacon's BYM500 returned. On 23 October it rose to 127 as Tsuness filed a new entry and VaySunic's entry moved from Non-compliant to Compliant. Companies with a compliant entry now number 28.

Cheapest on our table today: Worldwide Solar 800W kit, 2 × 460W at £434, direct; PatioSun Lite, 800W at £449, direct; Solarfy Solo 455, 1 panel at £449, direct. Delivered prices, read between 20 October and 23 October.

What changed

Now listed as compliant

  • TSUNESS Co., Ltd TSOL-ESK800-P
  • Wuxi Vaysunic New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. VaySunic 800W UK Plug-in Solar Kit_PV 910W
The same register reference, listed non-compliant on our previous read and compliant on this one.

Refiled, still not listed as compliant

  • Levocell Ltd LEV Essential Plugin Solution V1

Added, not currently listed as compliant

  • Suzhou Northern Electric Power Technology Co.,Ltd. BDHX-800

Removed from the register

  • HEPA Premium 880 — was listed as not compliant

It was not listed compliant, so nothing you could lawfully plug in has gone. Leaving the register is not the same as being withdrawn from sale.

A refiled device keeps its place on the register under a new revision of the same reference; the register shows the old entry leaving and the new one arriving on the same day.

Worth a look

Is plug-in solar legal? — Yes in Great Britain from 27 August 2026, under SI 2026/848, and no in Northern Ireland. What the instrument actually does, the legal definition of a plug-in microgenerator, and why it does not itself create the notification duty.
