Plink News - We Now Support Spotify!
Hey! I am very excited to be writing this update to you. π§πAs you see in the image below, Plink now supports Spotify (if the show is listed on Spotify)!
Spotify on Show Pages:
Podcast's Show Pages have been updated to include Spotify as the 3rd listening option, after native iOS and Android applications. Remember, you can auto-link to pod's pages by adding ?to=page to the end of Plink links (example: plnk.to/thenw?to=page). Ω
Also, you can now add ?to=spotify to auto-send listeners directly into Spotify.
This is huge, as we aim to continually make our podcast smart linking service even smarter. Share Plink links knowing it truly is the one smart link you need for marketing your podcast! πΊππ
Embeds also include Spotify:
Example (website embed example image below): Remember, you can grab embed codes from sharing options at bottom of Show Pages and easily add to your website for up-to-date links and calls-to-action. I'm constantly brainstorming + prioritizing for Plink and Spotify has been at the top of the list. Supporting this functionality took time due to Spotify's non-public-facing API (Application programming interface). Spotify has approved Plink to utilize their private API so we're now able to programmatically get the most up-to-date data for podcasts from Spotify.
ΩNote: This is currently only available on paid, custom plnk.to URLs, yet we will begin implementing Spotify functionality on all free plinkhq.com (example: plinkhq.com/i/1453181438?to=page) URLs as well.
