Help shape Plink's features + a recent bug fix update
Hey,
I hope this note finds you doing well! It’s Scott from Plink.
With Plink, I aim to build features that customers and creators want/need most. As the creator economy continues to evolve, Plink desires to evolve alongside it and offer the best experience for all!
I’ve been heads down focusing on building out the best core smart linking tech, improving episode links and connections therein with podcast information/data providers, fixing minor bugs, and more. Features like custom domains (bring-your-own-domain to run Plink on) have been pushed to the wayside. Until now!
As part of Plink’s feature development research process, I’m needing a better sense of what is important to you, Plink customers and subscribers.
With that, I’m running a short survey to get a better sense of this so as to best serve every podcaster and listener interacting with our platform. Please complete this ~5 minute survey to help guide the future of Plink’s podcast linking service.
Recent bug fix [03/31/2021]: Squashed a pesky little bug 🐛 on Plink’s Episode Pages.
Plink checks your RSS feed for latest episodes, as well as cross-referencing that with data from its providers and podcast apps. At times, hosting providers will support and automatically add a prefix to episode titles in RSS that include numbers in them (as most pod apps don’t like this). So, Plink now checks if your RSS supports this preferred <itunes:title>
instead of <title>
, per episode.
If Plink hasn’t yet received episode’s app links/data from providers, Episode Pages shows an RSS-led “Episode Page data is processing” for a period of time, with buttons/links through to apps where listeners can tune in, while episode-specific smart links process any incoming new episode data in the background!
This fix further improves /e/
episode links speed towards go-live, while allowing click-through options for listeners to check the apps to always get access to your latest content!

Thanks in advanced and I hope you’re all doing well!
Best,
