Welcome to the Plaintext Dispatch list. This is an email list for the Plaintext Distro, a digital zine distro specializing in low-tech, DIY, game dev and anti-capitalist zines.
UPCOMING TABLE
Glasgow Zine Fest is returning for 2024, in a slightly different format than previous years! The events will be spread across the CCA in Glasgow City Centre and the Southside. The Zine Fair will still be in the CCA, but Plaintext will be tabling on Friday evening, from 4-9 PM, on May 3rd. I'm excited to see if the change in time brings a different vibe or crowd to the fair, and of course to share our zines with more people!
IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT A ZINE
Submissions are always open, but the cut off for the print order for our table at GZF 2024 will be SATURDAY, APRIL 20th! If you have work you would like to see distributed on the GZF table, feel free to respond to this email with a heads-up, and prepare to get a PDF suitable for B&W booklet printing to me by that date. Shortly after the deadline, I'll be adding covers and info on the new zines to the website to let everyone know what will be available on our table!
You don't have to have EVERYTHING 100% ready right now, but it will help me build the homepage and get a general idea of what we'll have on offer to know what new things people are interested in submitting. As always, check out the website for more in-depth info on how this whole thing works, as well as an idea of what kind of stuff we already stock.
