Welcome to the Plaintext Dispatch list. This is an email list for the Plaintext Distro, a digital zine distro specializing in low-tech, DIY, game dev and anti-capitalist zines.
CURRENT DIGITAL TABLE
Glasgow Zine Fair is on, and the Plaintext Distro site is now COMMERCE MODE ENABLED! Check out the Plaintext shop to be sure, but also be sure to browse some of the other great digital zine tables on the GZF site. Thank you to friend of the distro v buckenham for the suggestion to add a "one of everything" button. If you really have the need for zines scroll down to the bottom of the catalog and give that bad boy a spin.
GZF also has a programme of events alongside their digital tables. Many still have pay-what-you-can tickets available so have a look!
WOW THAT'S GREAT, WHEN WILL I GET MY ZINES?
To save money and paper we'll be doing a big order of all the zine copies we need at the end of the month, and I'll be sending them off through standard post at the end of April/beginning of May depending on volume. So there will be some wait but I think it's worth it, not just to save money and trips to the post office but because these zines are Timeless. :)
HMM... WHAT ELSE?
Check out the new additions to the Low Tech Webring. The Alternative Ecologies Jam was also a blast and led to many thoughtful entries.
Also, the Low Tech blog has done it again: I read about wastewater fish ponds with rapt attention, and I hope you will too.
