Welcome to the Plaintext Dispatch list. This is an email list for the Plaintext Distro, a digital zine distro specializing in low-tech, DIY, game dev and anti-capitalist zines.
Hello again! Believe it or not it's the middle of March already, and here in Glasgow we've already had one or two days where you maybe actually feel not cold if you can manage to stand in the direct sunlight for a few minutes.
UPCOMING DIGITAL TABLE
Glasgow Zine Festival is coming up in April and will be the first time we test this digital table idea. Looking ahead, I've found an option for remote printing in case the local copy shop is still closed, and a way to order in the necessary assembly and shipping supplies for zines. Strange times, right? Usually I'd just be annoying and take up the copier in the library for like half an hour.
GZF has also updated their website with the programme of online events associated with the digital zine fair. Some of them look really cool so have a peek! They should have the table directory up soon.
IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT A ZINE
We are getting down to business now! Here's an example page for what each zine listing will look like on the site. Because I'll be doing a big batch printing at the end of April, I can be flexible if you don't have the final PDF of your zine ready when the table goes live, but please do be ready to have a Title, Cover, and Short Description ready by the end of March. Emailing me is the best way to do this.

The Alternative Ecologies jam is coming up for Now Play This! Also check out their website for the online programs and variety of projects they're featuring this year.
And, for those of you who love writing handmade web projects, the Low Tech Webring's next update will be April 1st.
