within the span of a month, my dad died and i started a new job. that ended up 1. derailing the second half of my year and 2. ruining my ability to sit through a TV show.
despite everything, here’s what i did manage to sit through:
this is my emotional support battle shonen. i’ve probably rewatched it 7 times since 2018. it’s not very good, but it’s like a depression meal: not particularly nutritious but it is technically food and will keep you alive. 10/10
i don’t even know where to start here. sure, let’s give golf the anime treatment, but instead of making a haikyuu, what if we did a yugioh and created an entirely golf-based society? 10/10
an ancient roman bathhouse architect is transported into the future to gain inspiration from modern japanese bathing innovations. it’s historical and ostensibly educational? i guess? but don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s serious or highbrow. 10/10
idk this one autoplayed on netflix and was just ok. 6/10
some high school girls start a diy club and attempt to build a treehouse. the subtly techno-dystopian near-future setting and interesting character design saves this from being a generic moe. 10/10
now that we’re all caught up, time for some
could’ve been a solid fantasy adventure with an interesting angle, but they really shit the bed with the ending
historical! educational! weird cgi! excellent VA!
i think y’all just need to watch this one.
this show made me feel every emotion. i am still feeling every emotion. there is no other show like it.
okay see you next (?) month (??) bye
