Today is a printing day for me. I'm working on the Zoey Vol 0.25 book and have sent that to Blurb to get the proof back. The idea is a hardcover book with up to three prints to send along to the relatives. I'll post those when the book arrives. Giving my photos to people in print makes this whole process worth it.

This also got me thinking about why we share our photography in the first place. For some people, it really does feel like the only goal is to get famous or have some amount of internet fame. They don't care about doing good work. On the other side, you have the people who never share their work and feel like it must be protected until the very moment it's released, if ever.

For me, I've landed on print being the important place for photography sharing to happen. I was at a coffee meetup this last week and didn't have a set of prints with me. I did have my daily notebook, and that has a wild mix of prints from my big printer, small Instax printer, and Canon Selphy printer. Made for a great conversation piece. Print your work.
