Hello folks,

we've been working on something new and I wanted to share some details while it's still taking shape. In order to allow us to get Pious Rot into your hands sooner we've thought of making a small starter kit that would give players and wardens (GMs) a short self-contained area with rules and an adventure that they can run as a one-shot to start exploring the world and it's folklore.

Since I love making zines, i thought that making it in zine format would make a lot of sense for a little starter kit like that, it won't have too many pages, it's affordable to print, it's cheap to ship and it's just a fun format to read overall.

This starter kit will contain a couple things:

• a booklet containing the local history and folklore of Godrindell and the surrounding areas

• a booklet containing a simple ruleset, based on the Cairn rules with some adaptations for Pious Rot

• a booklet containing a full adventure with 3 detailed areas, creatures, and pre-generated characters

• a couple of blank character sheets

• a folding map of the area

We're pretty excited about this and the writing and layout is progressing quickly and we think that the result will be a really good starting point to get new players and wardens exploring the world.

We're going to offer a printed version, of course, possibly through a pre-order, but also a pdf version that we can give away for free on our website.
