Just a very quick note today to wish you all a wonderful Piano Day 2026 — celebrated, quite sensibly, on the 88th day of the year (for the obvious reasons).

Every year, the organisers release official Piano Day playlists and companion albums, featuring brand-new music written specifically to celebrate the instrument, spanning everything from classical and jazz to ambient and experimental. It’s a lovely way to discover pianists you might not otherwise stumble across.

Or, alternatively, mark the occasion by playing something you enjoy? Not just something you feel you should practise. Perhaps even revisit a much older piece that hasn’t had an airing in a while?
