A quick plug! Hastings Poet-a-thon this Saturday

Hi all,
I hope you’ll allow me a quick bit of cross-promotion…
This Saturday 11 October, A LOAD OF POETS (a live literature event I helped to set up 3 years ago with two of my friends) is attempting to break the UK record for the longest continuous open mic spoken word session!
NINETY POETS are lined up to read at the Hot Tap Theatre in St Andrew's Mews, Hastings (across the road from Marks & Spencer) from 9am to 10pm. And it’s all free!
The event will be started at 9am by the brilliant BAFTA-winning writer, tv producer and poet Henry Normal. He will return to the stage at 9pm when, assuming we're still going, we will break the current UK record of 12 hours, claimed by a group of Folkestone poets last year. We've invited the press, radio and TV (fingers crossed), and there'll be audio-visual folks doing interviews and filming performances.
The whole day will be live-streamed on our A Load of Poets Facebook page. The bar at Hot Tap will be open and you can chill out in the comfortable rooms upstairs.
Whether you're a poet or not, please pop in at any time of the day should you so fancy it.
I’ve just got to figure out what I’m doing for it now…
Cheers,
Will
