Three February Events AND an actual podcast?
Greetings, PHX Podcast Clubber! Do we have some updates for you!
As you may recall from our last email to you, we recently did a test-run of a new educational offering. We’re calling it The Podcaster Hot Seat (for lack of a better name), and one of our organizers, Don Burnside, graciously agreed to be the guinea pig and tell us about to hardware, software, workflow, and promotional process he follows when he makes an episode of White Roof Radio, a podcast he’s been making for 20 years! If you missed it, don’t worry. We recorded it and released the audio-only episode on our new podcast!
We just made the show live today, so give us a few days to get the embedded player and common listening links up at PHXPodcast.club.
Podcaster Host Seat - Round Two on Feb 25, 2025
Yep, we’re doing it again! This time, another of our organizers—Garret Godfrey—is in the hot seat, walking us through the tech stack, recording-editing-publishing process, and promotional efforts when he creates an episode of his show, Good Patron. More details at the Eventbrite page. Please RSVP so we have a good headcount!
(Virtual) Voiceover Acting: Flirting and Hurting - Feb 3, 2025
Looking to up your game as a voice actor, or maybe using voice actors in your podcast? No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to try new things!
RSVP to this free online event today, since it’s happening on Monday!
Our Monthly Social - Every Third Thursday
While we’re evolving, we’re staying true to our roots, so we’ll continue to have our social event every week, just like we’ve done for the last… five years? Six? Sheesh. How long has it been?
There’s an Eventbrite page set up for that event as well. Love to see you there on Feb 20 at Fate Brewing on 7th St in Midtown!
More Opportunities to Connect
With the changing nature of social media, we’re trying out a few different ways to stay connected. There’s now a Meetup group and a WhatsApp group thanks to some of our members. And… something else? Heck, I forget. There’s a lot! And if we’re not yet on your social property of choice, come chat with us about setting one up! We’re all about collaboration.
And, as always, you can reply to this email. A genuine human—probably me—will answer and offer any assistance.
Make a plan to join us at one or all of these events in February, OK?
